Our writing group is looking for new members who are dedicated authors. We accept short stories, poetry, chapters, and essays for critique. Join our free writing group and find out if you fit in.

• We guarantee detailed critiques for members who give thorough critiques.
• You get as much value from our community as you give to our community.
• When you submit an item for critique you will be assigned to critique the works of your peers.
• Once you complete your critiques it takes about 48 hours to receive your critiques.
   
• We want authors who can give and receive honest and detailed critiques. The quality of the critiques you provide determines your peer group.
• If your critiques are carefully thought out and richly detailed we will match you with authors who also give helpful critiques.
• If your critiques are filled with poorly thought out feedback like “Ohh I Loved It” or “I can't wait to read more” then we will match you with similarly unhelpful peers.
• It takes about two submissions and six critiques before we can determine your peer group. We'll apologize now if you get stuck with a loser reviewer during your first few days of working with our writing group.
   
• Members need to be honest without being rude.

The purpose of this group is to educate, share ideas, and bring together people who have or want chickens.

Do you currently have a few pet chickens or an urban flock and want to meet other chicken owners? Would you like to have a few hens, and want information about how to get started?

Do you want to know what it takes to be a responsible chicken owner? Have you considered getting baby chicks, and wonder if they will grow to make good pets? Has the realization of changing times sent you looking for ways to become a little more self sufficient and prepared?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, we are here for you. Our goal is to help you learn how to responsibly own and care for chickens, whether you want them for eggs, pets, or even meat.

Sound interesting? If so, then this is the group to join. Every monthly meet-up include time for personal chat and mingle. Then we’ll have a speaker, who will share expert advice on various educational topics such as coop design, health and wellness, purchasing chicks, hatching eggs, and bio security. We also intend to vigorously support the rights of all chicken owners.
